The First Visit
What to expect
History
First visits are 60–70 minutes (40–60 for children). They begin with a review of the current concern, the medical history, and past treatment.
Hands-on examination
A structural exam follows: observing and feeling how your body moves, where motion is free, and where it is restricted.
Treatment
Treatment follows at the same visit. It is gentle, and patients remain fully clothed. The visit ends with an explanation of the findings, a recommended plan, and a realistic estimate of how many visits to expect.
What to wear
Comfortable, loose clothing you can move in. You remain fully clothed throughout — no gowns. Please do not wear fragrances.
What to bring
- Relevant imaging or test results, if you have them
- A list of current medications and supplements
- Notes from other providers, if you’d like them considered
Intake forms
Intake paperwork is sent to you once the visit is scheduled, so it’s done before you arrive.

Afterward
The days after treatment
The effects of treatment continue to develop after you leave. Over the following days you may feel looser, or more tired than usual; both are normal. Take it a little easier than you otherwise would, and notice what changes.
