Insurance & reimbursement

The practice does not bill insurance directly. Instead, you receive a superbill — an itemized receipt with the codes insurers require — which you can submit to your plan for out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by plan, so it’s worth a call to your insurer if this matters to you.

Health savings and flexible spending accounts (HSA/FSA) can generally be used for osteopathic treatment; check with your plan administrator.

Why work this way?

Insurance billing tends to compress visits into what a code will cover. Working outside that system is what makes longer, unhurried visits possible.

Scheduling policies

  • Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, check, and card are accepted.
  • Cancellations: Please give at least 24 hours’ notice so the time can be offered to another patient. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full visit fee.
  • Running late? Call the office at (608) 301-5641 and we’ll make the most of the remaining time.
